The Opportunities section of ACT! is often one of the most under utilized features in ACT! software. One of the reasons is that people who don’t want to track the nitty gritty details of each potential piece of business, or don’t use ACT! for sales management at all, so they get zero use out of this area.
However, users who are on ACT! 2010 or later can rework the Opportunities and use them for something entirely different and not necessarily sales related at all, based on the ability to customize the Opportunity record.
